I didn't understand that I'd been feeling anxious this week until today. It was a result of many big and small instances throughout the week. It was a heavy feeling that I didn't understand had been there until its intensity became too thick to ignore.
Being anxious is such an uncomfortable lingering feeling. It's also quite crippling if you let it stop you from taking action when you can.
At first while praying about it, I trusted God would read my mind because I found it hard to pray. Even still, feeling the need to speak aloud, I nudged myself and asked for his help.
The phrase "Do not be anxious about anything...but by prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God." popped into my head. And I immediately knew it didn't come from me. God knows, God speaks.
Philippians 4:6
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (NKJV)
We are never forgotten, even when things get hard. God is not only with us, but gives us direction to navigate every situation, it only requires we be attentive to what he is saying. His promise that He will be with us is is true. He is always working - that has never ceased to amaze me!
